Hi guys I recieved my interview letter quicker than I expected.I was hoping to get my ead card at least 2 months before the interview so I could get some official joint documents with my wife.Today of all days I called a well known insurance agency and they told me I would be able to be listed as the beneficiary on a life insurance policy even though I don't have a ssn...My question is,should I go ahead and get it now or will that appear to the IO that i'm just doing this for the interview(it's 1 month away).Or should I explain to the IO that i've been trying to get added to alot of stuff(car insurance, credit cards,life/health insurance, etc) and have been denied because of my lack of a ssn?Only thing i've managed to get is bank account.

Get whatever you can and explain what you need to. But you should be able to be added to: Apartment/house leases or deeds, Car titles, etc.

Do not re-schedule your interview or anything, just bring all the proof you can. I.e: Pictures, emails, joint correspondence.

Photo's...get all photos you two were in. Travel/wedding/party pictures. Travel tickets, Apt lease, letters or greetings exchanged, email conversations if any

Thanks for the advice,we stay with her aunt and uncle in their house rent free so I was thinking a notorized affidavit from them would be enough for that.As for car titles,we dont have any:( ....Yeah i'm not going to rechedule, that might push it back 6 months.

We also have nothing in our names together except our daughter lol. We have however been married for 4 years before we applied and we also have a daughter together... but nothing at all in our names together. We live with family until he is able to work so no lease or anything in our names. We are just taking engagement pics, wedding pics, both our birth certificates, our daughters birth certificate pics from when she was born with both of us, pics of all of us from Christmas and stuff like that. We cant get any other things together until we have his ssn#.

I'm sure they understand that as well.

Well having a child is excellent proof of a real marriage. You will be just fine with your case.I should have put something in my wife's oven before we filed,lol:D...Yeah I think they will understand.I've learned from reading other peoples posts about interviews, that not all officers are strict, some are quite friendly and understanding.

I think you should be ok to :) I wish you the best of luck since you have your IL when is the date? You have time to start baby baking lol

We are actually going to start trying for another child next month so who knows, I could have #2 on the way when we get our interview. What more proof can there be? haha!

As soon as EAD arrives we plan to get some joint things in our names as well. If they think its "fishy" that wouldnt make sense since it would be the first opportunity we have had as a married couple to have things jointly.

We should all be ok!

The interview is on Oct.30th...I see from your sig your FP appointment is today, good luck with that.

Thanks! We were home about 45 minutes later! In and out!

I just hope we get something good happening now!

curious

Do you guys think 2 kids is enough proof so that we don't have to lug in the photo albums, electric bills etc?

i think you need more than just the kids, I would take it all because w/o all that they can still say no. The more you take the easier it is to prove your sincerity. I say if you have them, most definitely TAKE THEM ALL

are baking too?

ALWAYS bring evidence... even if you have 20 kids together. (Make sure you have their birth certificates too!)

Praet,

Are you planning to put something in the oven any time soon? After all, responding to all these queries can make one want to bake and shake...:D
