Promotion dilemma

AC21 requires "in the same or similar occupation".

I'm in I140 & I485 pending, I hope my sponsor can give me a promotion later (salary and title). Job duty will keep the same, title will be different. Before and after promotion, am I in the same or similar occuption? Or different occuption?

LC, I140, and I 485 use my current job title.

If the promotion is like Jr.programmer to Sr. Programmer and the length of the adjudication process has been long this promotion should not your claim under AC21. However if it is from programmer to project lead or manager then you have a problem.
