My I-140 was applied with my job title as software engineer, subsequently i got promoted to a sr. software engineer. The i-140 is approved and I\'ve to apply for 485, all the documentation pertaining to this application still has me as Software engineer. Will making a correction, reflecting a promotion, cause a problem in the 485 processing?. Like, will I be asked to re-do labor, etc since the title has changed. Can i simply do no correction and apply as the current application is, i.e with job title as software engineer? Any ideas?
thanks in advance

Similar problem

I had the same problem. I was a multi-national exec. with title Operations Executive. I was an L1-A, E-B1. My I-140 was approved under OE title. Then, I was promoted to General Manager. The company attorney, after consulting with other attorneys and previous similar cases found that my I-797 L1-A petition had to be changed to reflect the new title before filing a fresh I-140. He then sent a withdrawal letter for the previous I-140 on grounds that there was a title change due to company restucturing, then upon receipt of the new I-797 form a fresh I-140 was filed. This whole mess made me loose almost a year because after I filed the second time VSC had frozen I-140 prcessing for many months.

Take one

If you can receive your LC salary before 485 approval why can\'t you be promoted to the job before 485 approval ? It would be bad if you were not a sr software engr after approval. My take is that you should be ok without changes.
