This scan was done last night just for the month of Jan 2002 to gauge where
CSC was at for the month of Jan 2002

Roughly speaking
Cases Approved : 793 (28.24%)
Cases TRansferred: 344 (12.25%)
Cases Pending: 1630 (58.05)
Cases Denied/Withdrawn/Rejected : 18 (0.64%)
Misc : 23 (0.82%)

Not bad at all. This actually may mean that 50% of the cases are done
assuming that lot of cases might not be updated by USCIS.

Some more analysis on Jan yields this data

Cases Approved : 793 (28.24%)
Cases Transferred: 344 (12.25%)
Cases Pending: 1630 (58.05)
Cases Denied/Withdrawn/Rejected : 18 (0.64%)
Misc : 23 (0.82%)

Cases approved in April : 156
Cases transferred in April: 110
Cases with dates in April: 523

Cases approved in May : 364
Cases transferred in May : 75
Cases with dates in May :850

Cases approved in 11 days of June : 140
Cases transferred 11 days in June : 23
Cases with dates in June : 352

WOW! Look at the big jump from April to May and look at the cases so
far approved in June. Almost equal to cases approved in whole of April.

The pace is SCORCHING!

This is scan data for Jan. I will post scan data for February 2002 today
evening or tomorrow.

This is encouraging. :)

I cannot believe the pace picked up on its own without outstanding efforts / campaigns by the forum members. Let us keep up the campaign efforts.

Very NICE! Interestingly, if you extrapolate from the approvals thread, you will see approvals all over the board, putting that together with the JAN data, truly signifies that that pace is scorching. Hopefully that can maintain it for the next year or so.

The question that begs to be asked is WHAT THE HELL WERE THEY DOING FOR THE LAST TWO YEARS? :( :( :(

Thank you for posting this data, desi_bartender. Your efforts are very much appreciated. Curious, just as someone pointed out earlier, could these unapproved cases be not employment based ?

Question : Does non - EB AOS also called 485 or "adjustment of status" or is that a different application number ?

I think they are same. That's why we refer EB I-485 or family based I-485.

Bartender bhai,

Thats an awesome job. Finally getting to see some data again. thanx. can you do the same for March when you have time? I am March case and wanting to see whats going on there too.

Sooooo many transfers

Guys,

Did you notice that almost 50% of the cases (versus approved) have been transfered. i.e. for every 2 approved cases 1 case has been transfered.

Does anybody has any idea as to how much time it takes for in interview in LA office?

All the transfers might not be CSC to district office transfers. Some of them could be just district office to district office transfers (when people move after applying family based AOS). Also moving to different regions of USA.

March Scan result for AC21a

AC21a. As you requested I did a scan for March. Same results. Awesome
job by USCIS. Here is the summary for the scan

Cases Approved : 695 (16.7%)
Cases Transferred : 422 (10.14%)
Cases Denied/Withdrawn/rejected : 27 (0.65%)
Cases Misc : 19 (0.46)

Progress in April
Cases Approved : 61
Cases Transferred : 104

Progress in May
Cases Approved : 342
Cases Transferred : 104

Progress so far in June
Cases Approved : 118
Cases Transferred : 104

What worries me is the cases transferred.....

Pralay, I can actually find out more about transfers...Have to rack my brains
on the query a little to find out if they are intra center transfers or transfers
to local USCIS offices for interview.

Just found out by running the query....What I thought was right.
Out of 104 case transferred in June 100 are going to local centers for interview and about 96 from May (out of 104) will face interview.

So these are just cases that are being transferred to local offices for
interview. And not too many are intra center transfers.

Thank You for your effort. You are my new Kashmir, you are my Pahalgam. ;)

It scares me too to see so many tranfers.Even though the number of transfers is almost equal to the number of approvals, why are we not seeing equal number of people coming on the forum telling us thier cases transferred? In that case we atleast know what is the criteria for tranferring a case.

First thanks to desi_bartender for posting March scan results.
Could these transfers be non - EB based? Can someone comment on this. The reason is as ac21a said, not many people on the forum (who generally tend to be EB) reported trasnfers.

Results for April 2002 scan
Cases Approved :748 (19.78)
Cases Transferred : 441 (11.6%)

Cases Denied/Withdrawn/Rejected : 17 (0.45%)
Others : 21 (0.56%)

April
Cases Approved : 93
Cases Transferred : 68

May
Cases Approved : 238
Cases Transferred : 133

June
Cases Approved : 170
Cases Transferred : 102

Very good progress for April. Certainly where lot of action seems to be

One more point to be noted. Almost no rejections or denials.
The number I have under Cases Denied/Withdrawn/Rejected : 17 (0.45%)
is all from withdrawals. So don't worry about denials. Just worry about
transfers. No idea if cases being transferred are just non EB cases.

Thripu,
Project Anaconda scanner is available to public to do the scans. Many
people have downloaded it and used it to do the scans. If you want Feb
data you can do a scan yourself by downloading it.

I just post my scans so that people can get some idea. The idea we are getting is that USCIS is indeed moving very fast.

Scans are not very accurate. USCIS fails to update status in many
cases. So this only serves to get the broad picture.

Hang in there....your approval is around the corner.

Jharkhandi,
Answer to your PM
Actually its not that tough to modify my scanner
to scan I140 cases. Its very simple to do.

Now finding all I140 cases and I485 cases from
the ones filed everyday......thats a big job.

But here is how you go about doing it. You need
to find maximum number of cases in each series

so lets say you want to find maximum number of
cases for wac03156 then you go on the web
and try to enter numbers from
wac01315650000 to wac0315659999

First try wac0315659999-> If no cases try
wac0315655000 and so on.

In few tries you should be able to find maximum
for each case.

Now generate a file with all numbers till maximum
So lets say max is wac0315653569 then generate
files with wac numbers
wac15650000
wac15650001
.....
wac15650010
.
.
wac15653569

Now use Anaconda scanner to scan all cases. It
will create an output file which will have all the cases
listed with every details.
Now just use scripts on this file to find out all I140,
I485 and all kinds of cases that you want. Once you have
done that then you are set. Your future scans will be
much faster as you will only be scanning known I140
cases.

This does take a long time. This scanner is written
assuming that you already know the number of I140
and I485 cases. But the above mentioned method
can be used to find different cases.

You will have to wait for next version of Project Anaconda scanner which is version 1.1 which I will release next week.

In future contact me at
desibartender-scanner@yahoo.com

desi-bartender,

I am a little lazy. Can we have a logic built-in next version for scanning and finding good cases for case type(s) specified in property file with separators. Ofcourse someone has to enter the range! :)

It will be all automated then.

Jharkhandi,
I am very lazy too. But I will add your request the existing to do list.

Maybe one day, I will add the discovery phase to the scanner. Currently
it only scans for known numbers.

Thanks to the excellent work in CSC and TSC by many people such data
is readily available for 2002 & 2003 and so people who use my scanner
have access to such data.

I485, I140 data discovery is not included in my scanner. But a workaround
does exist I pointed out.
