Processing times changed at CSC... :)

I think they are rolling up 485 on JIT just to show in class action law suit that they are moving rapidly in 485 . These ppl will do anything to hold off that case .

Sure, date changed, but where are the approvals???

If processing date advanced so fast, we should be seeing approvals showering, where are they?

So why did they not move VSC's date even though some of the plaintiffs are from VSC?

and how should we be seeing them? Project Kashmir is on hold and the people who post their approvals here don't make a good representation. April had almost a 1000 approvals with about 40 approval postings here.

Because VSC has been strongly approving cases for the past 4-6 months as you can tell from their approval board.

I think more so than Project Kashmir, this board reflects a truer picture of current approval trends. The reason being, INS database doesn't reflect all the approvals correctly. Whereas this board only shows confirmed approvals.

Whatever said and done, more is expected from INS. In a conference call this morning, Rajiv Khanna commented that some of the steps taken by INS in the recent past were in part due to the lawsuit, as conveyed to him by some govt. Lawyers. And since CSC was the worst case, even lagging behind the notorious TSC, it was but expected that this would be the first place where wholesale changes would be apparent.

I can only hope that this trend continues and the backlogs are reduced drastically. It has been a long 18 months and I wouldn't wish them on any one.
 
I think Kashimir's projects and those letters sent to senators help to make the move because the USCIS got the pressure so they have to do sth.

To me, it is more like a politic game rather than the real move. because they randomly touched a few cases for each month from Feb 2002 to Dec 2003 to make everyone feels the hope and nobody complains.

Hopefully, Kashimir can continue his projects.
