Processing Time

Hi friends,
       I am still in I140 stage. I would like to know whether EB1, EB2,EB3 category matters in I-485 processing or not? Will EB1 move faster than EB2 and EB3?

If there is no priority date involved, it has no difference.

I agree with Ken Hogan. EB1, EB2, EB3 preferences are to determine labor and I140 processing. EB1 and EB2 can skip labor processing. I 140 processing will be faster for EB1 and followed by EB2 and EB3. At I 485 stage, if priority dates are current, I 485 processing are all in par. Irrespective of the case, some may get faster approval than the others. This is because, the initial processing are done by contractors, who are physically handicapped people who work from their home. Some work fast and some are slow; this determines the early or late approval.

Due to less scrutiny, EB3 I-140 moves faster than others.
