Hi all, I received my rfe, It is for missing piece of information.Filed i485 based on asylum before one year , Case status changed to Request for evidence was sent. What it gonna be am I in trouble?
Exactly my point, if you go on REDDIT, everyone is unhappy or complaining from marriage based to EB , there isnt any aspect of the i485 thats going on smoothlyyeah, i see 'em now interviewing most of the people for the GC but in the end, everything will be fine! do not let 'em scare y'all
what did your attorney say abt responding quickly, be careful , its not the same agent who will deal with your file always, if your asylum calendar is still far from one year , think carefullyHi all, I received my rfe, It is for missing piece of information.
It depends. If you missed an information and they sent RFE it might mean your case is still at NBC and they want to make sure all info are completed before sending it to your FO. You can ask Emma where your file is currently. Since your case was approved this year I’ll wait till the last 2 weeks to send your RFE to gain time. If you have a lawyer please refer to his adviceAfter submission of the rfe will they adjudicate with the decision or put it back in the line?

I kindly encourage you to file a writ of Mandamus. It’s almost 2 years!!. Nowadays days USCIS only understands writ of Mandamus. Is anyone here who filed in 2023 still waiting for the green card approval? Mine was filed in August 2023. Fingerprints were taken 15 days after the filing.
First thing is to check if you are eligible to raise a case inquiry , check processing times and input ur app date , it will tell you if eligible , do that firstHi guys
My asylum was granted in Feb 2023 and I filed my i485 on April 2024
Fingerprint notice received on May 2024 and since then I am waiting for almost 14 months.
Any thoughts?
Should I wait more or can I file the mandamus?
Thanks broFirst thing is to check if you are eligible to raise a case inquiry , check processing times and input ur app date , it will tell you if eligible , do that first

I don’t want to scare you or encourage you to file a mandamus lawsuit, but based on data published by USCIS, green card processing for asylees and refugees has significantly slowed down as of April 2025. Typically, USCIS approves around 6,000 applications in March or February but t they only approved about 1,000 in April— an 80% decrease.I hope so. Thanks for the promising advice bro.
