Processing time for 7th year H1 Extension

We plan to apply soon for the 7th year extension of H1 visa which is expiring in June 2006. I am wondering how long it would take to get it approved? I see that the current processing time is Sept 23rd 2005 . I wonder if it is with Premium processing also (i.e) takes so much time ?? Are we too late?
Also if by June 1st if we are not able to get the approval, will we be able to renew our driver's license? we are from Ohio

7th year H1 Extension takes more than 3 months at NSC, I am waiting since 12/21/05. Driving license is a state by state issue. CHeck with your DMV
 
7th year extension

Hi There:

I applied for my 7th year extension on Apr 01 , 2006 and got the approval on the 8th Apr. My company had requested for premium processing. The documents haven't been mailed but my attorney has gotten the e-mail from California processing center.

I also went online to USCIS website and it shows that my case has been approved. I think premium processing is worth the money because who wants to live in ambivalence for 4 months.
