Processing may be delayed for the cases filed after July 2001!

The dates became current in July 2001 for the employment categories. My attorney says it may take a while to get approval for the I-485 cases filed after July 2001. Is it true?

I called them

Now and then I will be contacting them to know how the processing is going on in INS. I have filed my 485 in September 2001. They told me that, I have to wait for a while to get my approval, because lot of 485s have been filed in July 2001 and August 2001.
