Our situation is:
Me: Divorced 2yrs ago. UK Citizen. Working in USA on H1B (2.5yrs remaining on 6yrs total time on H1B).
Fiance: never married. US Citizen. Student.
Both currently living together in the US.
We plan to get married. Just wondering what the process is for applying for GC. At some point we need to prove some history between us? letters / photos etc? What kind of thing do the INS ask for...
Names... If my fiance wants to keep her name, does that look bad? She'll most likely change her name to mine, just curious on what happens if she wanted to keep her current name.
What other costs might be involved?
Expected timeline?
