Procedure to Visit Montreal Canada on EAD

Hello,

I came to the US on H4. It got expired in 2008 but I had already applied for GC so the process was taken care of. I just received my EAD and no status change on the visa though which is obvious.

I wish to visit Canada for a couple of days. What is the procedure? Is it possible for me to visit any other country outside the US like India?

Well, on the EAD card it he written "Not Valid for Reentry to US"

You need an Advance Parole document to travel outside the country if your 485 is pending and you don't have visa. EAD is just a work permit and has nothing to do with exiting or entering the country.
To apply for advance parole, you have to fill the form I-131. It takes up to 3 months for approval.
Once you have the advance parole document in hand, you may leave US anytime and re-enter before the expiry date (1 year from the date of issue of the advance parole).
And yes, you may travel to any other country... as long you have a visa for that country (including Canada), or if you are a citizen of that country.
