you need approved AP with you when you go out of US

when you take the flight for US you need to show AP and passport at airline counter to take a filght.
when reach US POE show your passport and AP

if you have I-485 filing reciept keep the copy with you(it is not a must)
if you want to use AP you may also need Transit visa check with airline you are going to book tickets

Thanks for your reply. You mentioned something "Transit Visa Check with Airline', what doesn't this mean..did you mean that I need a transit visa for the country I am transiting thru..By the way I am planning to go thru Moscow..Do I still need that ?

Question on AP and H1B !!

Hi folks

I had 2 questions regarding AP

1] I wanted to know what is the validity period of Advance Parole . Is it valid for 1 year or more than that. Can we renew it after a year ?

2] Is Advance Parole document valid only with H1-B visa . My H1-B stamped on passport and I-94 is valid upto June 2007 and wanted to know if I can travel to my country in August 2007 and return with a valid AP document .

Should I apply and get H1-B extended before I go abroad for this trip ?
