procedure of I-485

Ciba, could you please tell how the INS officers are handling the I-485.
I am assume:

 (1) some one file the I-485,
 (2) INS issue the receipt, indicate the RD and ND
 (3) Nobody look at the file, just time come out, INS issue the FP notes.
 (4) Then FP go through, and time come out, INS officer just look at the file, then issue the RFE or ask interviewer or prove or reject.

When do they issue the FP notice?? Is it based on EB2/EB3?
Is it based on your PD? your ND? RD?

From the tracking list, it looks like people submit their FP
results about 2 months after the ND. Is there is a rule of thumb?

Dear Mitr,

It all depends on how big a sinner you are, :), Or, may be, when the auspicious day arrives. In my case neither the auspicious day has come nor my quota of sins been surmounted. It has been more than three months since I filled I485.

There is a great American saying: life is not fair, get used to it.
