Procedure for GC thru spouse

My wife couldn\'t get her GC when I got mine since she is on J1. Does she have to file I-130 petition (like I-140 for GC thru employment) or can she apply for 485/AOS/CP directly after finishes her 3 year waiver?

To the best of my knowledge, if you were married before your GC is final, your wife should be able to keep your priority date and file her adjustment by join-to-follow when ever she is ready. Talk to your lawyer.
