Procedure for AC 140 in New Delhi

Dear Mr. Khanna,
                I recently got my I-140 approved in EB2 category.While filing for I-140 I have not chosen CP.Now I want to do Attorney Certified I-140 at New Delhi.I have some questions regarding the same.
1) Do I need to file I-824 for AC I-140.
2) How can I find out New Delhi Consulate accepts AC-140.
3) Do my lawyer need to submit Receipt of I-824 filing along with packet 3 documents to New Delhi Consulate or I only require the receipt of filing of I-824 when I go for final Interview at Delhi.

$$$Delhi accepts AC-140...no need to file I-824 $$$$.....

send them the packet3 and call after one week ....
 
Time gap between date of receipt of AC-140 and Interview date at New Delhi

I am planning to send AC-140 this week to New Delhi and happen to go to India after 60-70 days for brother\'s marriage.How much time does it takes after Delhi Consulate receives AC-140 and the final interview date.Any chances that the Interview date will coincide with my visit to India.Do I have the right number -(11) 419-0106 for New Delhi Consulate.

You have to file I-824. Without that you cannot apply for AC 140. I am an AC-140 case in Delhi. You need to send your i-140 approval (AOS), I-824 receipt notice along with Packet 3. Without I-824 receipt notice, they will not accept AC I-140. If you have any other question, email me at aneetgc@yahoo.com.

Did not apply for 824....Its too much time consuming stuff...

Just send your stuff thru fedex Intl mail and track it down..Once You know it has been recvd in Consulate call them after 3days .

They will then enter your details in the systems and will give you a case number ..Thn you are ready to GO
 
Same Case...CP in New Delhi

Regarding your question...i think after you send packet3 to the consulate it takes between 30-90 days to get an interview date.I also know of friends who changed dates later on, but now it is not advisable!!

iamforcp - Did you applied for AOS or CP in your I-140 ???

If you apply for AOS and want to go for CP, you have to apply I-824.
 
Delhi does accept AC-140

I agree with AKS1234. You must have I824 receipt for AC140. A friend of mine did that from Mumbai Consulate and i guess the procedure is same for all the Consulates.

You seems to have a good knowledge about CP process.I have one question for you.On my I140 petetion, it was stated for CP processing at New Delhi Consulate.Can i still go for I824 and skip NVC ? If yes,do you need to have I140 approval to file for I824 and how much time does it take to get receipt for I824 ??

Not me

If you have mentioned CP in your I-140, you cannot go for AC I-140. AC 140 is only for those who applied for AOS and then change their mind. That is why it is called Attorney Certified I-140.

but the old I-140 forms are misleading and hence it was approved for AOS

No 824 need to be applied for Delhi
 
There have been cases which have been approved for AOS inspite of specifying CP

In this case you can still go for AC I-140
