First of all, thank you for giving me a chance to explain my confusion.
I used to work in Comp A using my OPT (Dec 2005-August 2006); Comp A had to let me go due to limited H-1B quota for 2006. I received my BS in Finance last year (US Degree) and now I am in my first semester as Master in Tax student. Comp A wants me to go back next year (2007). I assume that I should be able to complete my Master degree by summer 2007 or Fall 2007. I undertand that by going back to comp A I need to have completed 24 units of CPA requirements. If I combine classes taken as an Undergraduate and Graduate I will be eligible to go back and work for Comp A by April 2007 or later.
My questions are as follows:
- Should I apply for H-1B1 by April 2007 even though I am still under F-1 status?
- How long does the process take for getting my H-1B1 approved?
- Since I am going to graduate either on Summer 2007 or Fall 2007 and waiting for my H-1B approved, what would be the best approach for both comp A and my self to avoid any complications of my status in US?
Thank you so much, any help would be greatly appreciated.
