Hi here is my inquiry: my husband and I are from Venezuela, on May we applied for the visas L1 and L2 respectively being in the state of Tennessee in the city of Knoxville, such visas were approved by the USCIS and we received our new I-94 which expired on August 2006 also each one of us has a SSN and I have my work permit already, we had to leave the states for medical reasons and we came to Venezuela for 15 days, our lawyer told us that we would not have any problems going back to the states but that we needed to go to the USA Embassy here at Venezuela to get our visas stamped.
We went to the embassy and we had an interview with a representative, at the end he told us that he needed to make some research and that he would be back to us in a few days, the thing is that we haven't heard from him and its been almost 15 days. We tried to call the embassy to see what has happened but we couldn't have contact of any type.
Now, my question is why this happend if we had our approval from the USCIS
back in the States? is there any way that the embassy could deny our visas? and at last what do you guys think we should do? we are in a hurry since my husband needs to go back to work otherwise he is going to be fired.
Thank you very much for the help you could give us...
