Problems with Multiple extension in 10-year Multi-entry visitor visa

My mother has a 10 year multiple-entry visitor visa and has visited US 3 times in the last 7years. In her last trip, i extended her stay by 5 months and she left before the expiry of the extended visa.

I plan to bring her again on the same visa and looking to extend her stay again. Can someone clarify the following main issues:

1. Should i anticipate any problems for her to enter U.S again (specifically via San francisco) since she extended her visa last time.
2. Are there known rejections of extended visa after receiving one in the last trip?

Any info/pointers would be much appreciated. thanks,

T

Hi,

my personal experience is:
I extended my stay in 2000, I left before I get the decision but it was approved. I had come again to US in 2003 and there was no problem. The officer just wanted to see all correspondence with the immigration (mainly new approved I-94) and he told me bring it with me with every visit to US.
But later the second extension was denied.

more questions..

THanks Daisy. My mom is travelling within a gap of 1yr from the last extension. What precautions should i take to prevent any problems at the port of entry?

Hi Taurean73,

surely your mom should take with her all correspondence with USCIS to prove she was staying in US legally. And any other supporting documents - of course the return ticket, maybe confirmation she´s got a job in her native country etc. More is better than less. I think it also depends what status you have - if you GC holder, F1, etc. But this is my personal opinion.
