Problems with DORA

I hope you can help me! I really don't know what to do!!

I am married to a USC and am filing for AOS using the Dallas Rapid Adjustment program. I had my interview on July 18 this year which went well. However, I was told I needed to send in more supporting evidence for the I-485. Also I needed to obtain a copy of my co-sponsor's birth certificate.
I sent the additional evidence in, but there was a delay getting the birth certificate as my co-sponsor was born in Alabama and she had to send off for a copy. I finally got it and sent it in a few days before the time limit was up.
I received the NOA for the I-130 about a week and a half after the interview, but I still haven't received the NOA for the I-485. As soon as I receive it, I am supposed to make an appointment to have my fingerprints done.
So basically, nothing is happening. I don't know what to do. The USCIS is supposed to contact me if they don't think they can complete the process within 90 days, but I haven't heard anything so far - even though it seems doubtful now that it will be completed within that time.
I realise that my only option is probably to make an InfoPass appointment, but I just thought I'd see if anyone had any other suggestions or advice first. Dallas is a 7 hour drive away and I don't particularly relish the idea of driving all that way for nothing - especially with gas prices the way they are at the moment!
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

If your checks have been cashed, that means they have accepted your application and NOA should be on the way. You can call and speak to a rep before you decide to drive.

Hint: If you have online access to your bank account, you could see a copy of the check cashed. On the back would be your receipt number, but most of the times it is not legible because they scan at a low quality to save file size. If you can get the receipt number for I-485, you can call USCIS and follow it up.

Unfortunately, we used a cashiers check, so I don't think that will show up the same way.
I've tried calling the information line, but when I got to speak to someone, they didn't seem to know a thing about the DORA program and told me that my NOA wouldn't be in the mail for up to 90 days! I tried explaining, but she didn't listen.
I am about to start pulling out my hair!!

If you do not get a response anytime soon you are going to make that 7 hr. drive. We are going through the DORA program and we also had to send in some additional evidence. When you call the national number they don't know anything about the DORA, they simply stated I had to go personally. We had had no response so we went to Dallas. We too had to drive 7 hrs. I live in Hereford Tx.

I'm sorry to hear that you've been having problems too. :(
Would you mind telling me what you took with you (to Dallas) and if going there actually helped?
I don't want to drive all that way to be told that they can't tell us anything either!
And when making the Infopass appointment, did you select the reason as being "To ask a question about your case."? And if so, did you put the receipt number for the I-130, even though you were inquiring about the I-485?
Sorry for all the questions, but I realise that time is running out and I don't want to screw this up!

what will happen

Ok, I have a question and I hope someone will be able to help me please.. :confused:

when DORA, is the 130 petition approved at the moment of the interview or months after the interview??? or is pending until they get the fingerprints for the I-485... because I have read that the officer tell lot of people they are going to receive notifications on the next days or CONGRATULATIONS or things like that...

I am kind of worried because at DORA the officer told my wife she was going to drop the petition , that she was going to get rid of them and pretend nothing happen and destroy them, they made 1000 questions and we missed some of them, I think she did not believe

Then we received the NOA showing the 130 and the I485 petition from the MI center, and I also received the fingerprints appointment...

what do you think people? THANK YOU AGAIN :(

It is possible that she was unsure whether or not your marriage was genuine and so put you both under pressure to see how you'd react as a couple. I've heard about quite a few cases where this has happened.
If you got the "Congratulations" letter, then I'd say she was satisfied.
I'm not sure whether it's actually considered an approval at the interview stage of DORA, but I would assume that if she didn't believe that you were a genuine couple, she wouldn't have accepted you into the program.
If everything is going ahead as it should, I would try not to worry. Easier said than done, I know! :D

yeah it's weird she asked my wife How much I paid to her, she said she got married to me because she love me... and then the woman said she was not going to fill the documents,at the end she did... but the officer threatened my wife saying she was going to jail, etc etc.
 
By te way we did not receive the congratulations letter, I just met a girl that filled with DORA, she did not recieve a letter either, and I dont think they still give those letters, they just told her she was going to receive instructions for FP, like they Did to me..... at the end of the interview the officer called me back, she said: that's all.... and I asked her, that's all? and she said yes, you are going to receive some notifications this week, I shake her hand, said thank you and left the place....
 
From what i have been reading around, this is not so uncommon. The officers are trained to think this way so they can fish out cases that they think are fraud. Some officers are very subtle and some are very outright, but all of them start your case by assuming immigration fraud and as you present evidence and proof of a bonafide marriage one by one, they rest their concerns. Dont worry, she was only trying reverse psychology on you to see if you break up under stress. A lot of people cant handle this kind of pressure and if foul play is involved, the truth ultimately comes out. If you are honest and your marriage is bonafide, you have no reason to be worried about.

what does the Congratulations letter says??? do they have the applicants name, alien number or any control number written, or they are just a XEROX copy took it from a bunch of congratulations letters.
