Guru\'s,

The instructions in Pkt3 says that for applicants from India, who are born after April 1st 1970, must produce birth certicate from the appropriate registrar/local-muncipal authorites. As LATE registration is allowed.
NO AFFIDAVITS/ NON AVAILABILITY CERTIFICATES ARE ALLOWED for people born after APRIL 1, 1970.
1. Did any one of you have the experience of getting birth certificates by registering NOW. Could you please explain in detail and the time it takes.
2. In the birth certificate of my KID, only the first name is mentioned, the last name is not mentioned, is it OK?

Guru\'s Please advise

yes, you can get the BC from the appropriate registrar/local-muncipal authorites !

Procedure is :
1. Get non-availability of BC from local muncipal,
2. find a lawyer and prepare affidavates from your parents + 10th marks card.
3. Lawyer will register a case in court..This will take min of a month..
4. Finally court will approve that you can get the BC from the local corporation/muncipal.

This will take at least 2 months.. This is the normal procedure and I got through this way.. or you can always bribe and get the BC in INdia

For your kid you can get the BC once again what ever the way you want.
I had same problem, my kid name and mother name was not there. So after contacting the local muncipal office with our requirement, they issued the BC of my kid immediatly in english itself, earlies everything was in loacal language....

dodaa100, I already have a birth certificate with me

But I doesnot have a registeration date..please advise..

I have two affidavits prepared from my parents..
Thanks

shanks1975 !

Send copy of your BC to your parents and ask them to get one more BC with registration date on it from local muncipal/corporation..

Do not worry if you are not able to take one. registration date is not a big deal..Just take affiavits and 10th cert..

dodda100,,thanks for the prompt reply , so do u mean that BC

with affidavits is okay even when the date of registration is missing.

If that was the case why would the P3 ask for one with registration date.

Can the registration date be the same date as when they issue me the BC.My BC was issued on 290th October 2001,is it okay to have such recent registration date..
Please advise..

shanks!!

according to the letter received by NVC, BC must contain :
1. persons date of birth
2. Place of birth
3. names of both the parents
4. Annotation by the appro.............extract from the official records.

It does not specify the registration date would be there on it..
So give a shot..send a copy to your parents ask them to get one more with your requirement.. you know money matters in India...

Till now I have not seen my BC..my father got it last month only after 3 months in court..I sent him ,what all should be there in BC, according to that he got it..

shanks1975!

I just talked to my father, my registration date is the date which court approved my BC. But I have courts approvel notice and BC non-availabilty certificate with me..

Thanks buddy , I talked with my father yesterday night itself..

He is going to find out if adding registration date is possible..

Also, I-134 is not needed if I am single, right??

Name of My son is missing from his birth certificate

BC is issued by Municiple Corp but his name is not mentioned there.

My lawyer told me to take affidavits from both parents from USA.
I called New Delhi consulate to find out solution and I was told to get Affidavit from both the parents, but the operator was not sure about Affidavit from USA or India.

So I am planning to take both the affidavits from both the places.

I got my BC with registration date of 2001.... It does take time since you need to

get the affidavit from the court and show it to the municipality. So one should start planning for it much ahead. I lost 2-3 months in that.
