Problems in Fingerprinting

Hi,

My wife was on H4 and has already completed 3 out of 4 semesters of her MBA. She went to India to get her stamping converted to F1. Unfortunately due to a skin condition the embassy has not been able to get a good fingerprint on her right hand. She was sent back for the finger to heal.

I would like to know what are the options if the finger does not heal on time. Will the Consulate look at other fingers.

Regards,

Raghav

Recent rules say that the applicant will have to be fingerprinted at the Consulate. In this case, my wife went to the consulate but was sent back because they could not get the fingerprints from her properly from her right index finger because of a skin condition.
