Problem with EAD document

I have a valid H1 in US awaiting retrogression date thanks to my lawyer filing in the wrong category EB3 instead of EB2. Luckily I also filed a NIW.

I am an Indian citizen and have residency in Canada. I went away to canada for a year and would like to renew my EAD for a job that I plan to start in June 2009. My wife was also on the petition and we made a mistake of changing her status to visitor's while she was in Canada.

What are our options? Any suggestions.

What do you mean by having H visa and left the country fr one year? Do you mean you have valis stamp? The stamp by itself means nothing without keeping your work with the H sponsor and being in payroll on that H. If not and you are not on H status any more and traveled without valid AP, this means you abondoned your I485. Please give more informations on your current status and if you have pending I485 or not.
