I am currently on a F1. I have gotten a job offer whose employment starts in July.
The company has sponsored my H1-B which I have already received and is effective from October 1st.
I was planning to use Curricular pracitcal training from school to work full time from July to Oct 2004.
The school and advisor are also perfectly willing to sign this.
However, now they realise a glitch in the seevis system, wherein my seevis-I20 was disabled on the
date my H1B was approved. Although the H1 is effective only from Oct1st, my I-20 seems to be already
disabled, so the school is unable to use that to approve/stamp CPT. The school understands that this is
a glitch in the seevis system, but is unable to do anything to help. They are trying to reach INS for clarification
but are not sure how long it will take.
I have already used up my OPT, so that is not an option.
