is your attorney or company attorney who ever is pursuing your case (unless you are doing everything on your own) aware of this.

I am asking this just so that you do not encounter something new.

They have stopped sending lots of RFE these days. Also send the docuements which are not asked for...just collect documents "proactively" sometime it can backfire coz of stupid reasons....

From a Memo ......

May 4, 2004 memorandum from William R. Yates, Associate Director for Operations, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (CIS), provides clarification and guidance to CIS adjudicators on when a Request for Evidence (RFE) is not required or should not be issued. Mr. Yates states that a recent internal review of CIS practices showed that in certain circumstances adjudicators have “unnecessarily” issued RFEs prior to issuing final decisions on petitions. These unnecessary RFEs affect limited CIS resources, increase processing delays, and confuse petitioners and applicants. Mr. Yates further notes that the regulations at 8 CFR 103.2(b)(8) do not require RFEs to be issued prior to adjudication of an application.

As part of CIS’s ongoing backlog reduction initiatives, CIS plans to amend the relevant regulations at 8 CFR 103.2(b)(8) to address when an RFE is required. The memorandum serves to provide guidance to adjudicators until such new regulations can be issued.

1. chances of these documents ever getting into your 485 file are pretty close to winning super lotto jackpot.
2. CSC does not send RFE for these documents unless they smell dead fish.
3. In rare case this may also cast suspicion which may result in the case transfer to local office. But, in general no harm.

Whatever docs you sent may not get attached to your file. I remember Kashmir's post which says he did the same, and contacted congresspeople, only to find that his docs were not with his file and again contacted senators to attach the docs to the file. If sent this way, I guess they get lost in the black hole.

Any letters or any other documentation that you send to USCIS never
makes it to your file. I mean it may or may not.

Even AC21 letters fall under the same category. My new lawyer sent a AC21
letter with a G28 form to USCIS but I doubt if it has made it to my file.

They still continue to send letters and other stuff to my old lawyer.

If your tax transscript does not make to I485 file, probably that will go to trash-bin. If USCIS does not have sufficient shredders (that's likely as it is underfunded), your transcripts are potential for identity theft. It has ALL an ID thief needs - SSN, name, address.  :(

Come on guys. S/he might have already been demoralized by all your replies. Don't scare her/him any more guys.

This is like saying:

"To avoid a car accident on my way to work, I voluntarily hit my car in the wall for couple of times."

Proactive accident? When my car was spinned out due to tire hydroplaning, lost control and hit the center devider, my insurance company told "it's good...small accident saves you from big accidents."

Sure, same kind of non sense like mine. But it works for people who don't think about statistics and probabilities.

Hi, prashanthk,
Nice try, but I recommend you to make your Congressperson's caseworker send your documents to CSC Congressional Relations.
My documents got together with my I-485 file on 5/7/2004, and my case was approved on that day.
Here is my experience:

Good luck,
