PRO*ACTIVE I -140, Guys pleas explain what it is

             Please tell me what a pro*active I-140 is. Thanks for the help.

Pro-Active I140 is filing an I140 amendment with the INS before INS issues an RFE(Request foe Evidence) for processing your I1485 application.

INS issues Request of Evidence if the name of the company has changed because of merger/acquisition.

This way if an RFE is issued becuase the change of the name of the company, you can give INS the EAC# of I140 amendment. This expedites the processing.
