Privacy Engineer under TN Engineer Category

Hello,

"Privacy Engineering" is a relatively new profession which does not always require a technical degree. Privacy engineers may have various backgrounds, including law and policy. I am curious whether anyone here has direct experience or knows of anyone who is a Canadian or Mexican citizen that has successfully obtained TN status to work at a US company as a "Privacy Engineer" without an engineering degree, but does have a bachelor's degree and a privacy engineering certification.

Thanks in advance.

Its not engineering, so an engineering degree is not needed, no more than train engineer. The bigger question would be what category of TN would one apply under, since it is clearly not engineering.

Curious... in your opinion what makes it not engineering? Does the job title and description not matter?

Thea job description is the only thing that matters. And even as you briefly describe it, it isn't engineering.

So you need to find some TN category that will fit it, and have the education to match it. Not every job is TN-eligible.
