Priority Retrogression

Hi,

I have a question, My Priority date is June 7th 2002 under EB3. How does this impact my 485 processing under this new Retrogression? Could anybody please shed some light on this.

I think

It means you need to wait till your priority date becomes current
currently it is jan 2002. though their processing date is somewhere close to your 485 filing date, they will not approve it because of lack of visa numbers
(calculated by their priority date) and i think you are otherwise eligible for rest of the 485 benifits like EAD and ADV parole
 
File 485 immediately, if have not done so.

Your file will not be touched even if you are next in queue,
until the visa bulletin shows a date later than June 7th 2002.

Urgent...Can I use OLD (prior employer) priority date

I had applied for Labor cert, which got approved and then I-140 approved with copmany A in 1998.

I switched to company B and my new PD is Aug'02.

with the EB-3 PD retrogressing, my question is can I use the OLD priority date.

Pls, reply ASAP.
 
Since your 140 was approved with company A, you should be able to use it.
I am not sure of the process but I read somewhere in this forum that your lawyer has to mention in the cover letter.
