Priority dates retrogressing,

please post your opinion on possible retrogressing of priority dates to july\'98. INS is about to release the immigration Visa bulletine for Year - 2001/2002 in about week\'s time. Do you think things might fall back??

Good and bad if it happens

GOOD:
If it retrogresses , people who filed earlier
get their GC in order of PD , which is fair by all means .

BAD:
But those who were stuck in labour etc , cant file
I485 , because of PD being not current ,
but they can use the new law if 365 days have elapsed
after filing 140. They are also in good shape except
they cant get EAD .

It all depends on how much it retrogresses ...

But from past experience retrogression makes first come
first serve possible (on basis of PD)
