Priority date

Guys,

My priority date is Jan 2000 (labor appln date), I filed my I-140 and 485 concurrently in August 2002, I got my I-140, AP and EAD approved. Finger prints done too. I am wondering if INS will process my 485 appln according to the 2000 priority date or it will consider the notice date of the I-140\485 appln which is 8/2002. On my I-140 approval it does say Priority date Jan 2000.

Any info is appreciated.

From what I know your PD only matters as far as your eligibility to file I-485. It seems that currently all EB dates are current, which means that you could apply immediately - which you did. All I-485s have their own queue which has nothing to do with PD - they are actually based on RD which should be on your I-485 receipt... Your ND is 8/2002, which means that your RD is somewhere in that area as well.
