Hi everyone,as you all must know by now the the August bulletin is out.I am in Family based category--F3 and it has advance to September 08,1998.My priority date is 8 Sept,1998 so am I current or do I have to pass the 8 Sept.I saw on the bulletin page that dates earlier than the cut off dates will be allotted a visa number. So please tell me if I have to wait until the next advancement in that category occurs before I become current.

Hello, U R CURRENT.. Good luck... :)

Thanks everyone,I can't do anything but wait until the US embassy here in Guyana sent me an interview package which could take many months.I admire Mumbai embassy for being prompt in contacting and schedule an interview date once the PD is current.By the way I am of Indian ancestory. My foreparents came in this country as indentured labourers that was when the British was ruling here.Majority of the population is Indians. We have very rich Indian cultures too but no caste system. The only bad part is that we are a third world country.

Hi, I called our consulate here and was told I am not current they are working for Family-based category upto 7th september,1998.So although the bulletin says 8th September,1998 as cut off date they are actually working one day earlier in all category.
