Hi,

My I-140,485 was applied on 12/10/2004 through a substitution labour with a priority date of 7th August 1999. How my case will be processed.Will this be processed slow or since the PD is in 1999 this will be fast?

I am confused with the dates and lot of reading on this in forums.

Your priority date will be the date of filing of I140/485. I 140 will be processed soon but 485 will have to wait until the date becomes current

can u please be more presise, what do you mean when 485 becomes current and how long does it take

Your PD will be the date of the original labor, ie August 1999. Pls search the forum for more discussion on this issue. I use labor substitution and my I140 approval notice clearly states that my PD is the original labor date. Hope this helps.

Hi Guys,

How soon do you guess I-140 may be approved in the present situation. When can one change the employer.I guess using AC21 one can change employer once I-140 is approved.I know one has to wait 180 days.

Is this 180 days from the date of I-140&485 applied OR 180 days from the date of I-140 APPROVAL?? Please explain.

Hi friends, please help me understand more about this priority date
and how it affects processing 140 & 485.. As per all these email chains
what I understood is, if we have LC priority date before 01/2002.., 140
may be cleared so fast and for 485 one has to wait until dates becomes
current?? Is it right?? :confused:
