Priority Date ?

Just got my I140 approved. Lawyer sent me following message. I read long time ago on this Priority Date, but like to refresh my calculation on how now Priority Date can mean for my pending I485. If somebody can point me to article or discussion on priority date on this forum, I'd appreciate it. Thanks. Mingjing

Thanks. I filed my I485 in Nov. 03, three months after I140 filed. I am just wandering if Priority Date will retrogress significantly that my I485 in process will be put on hold. Sounds like this concern is only a theoretically possible scenario, but not probable at all. Thanks.
