Priority date seems to drive I-485 approvals

I have been watching this board for the last year or so.
It seems like NSC is processing 485 approvals based on PD rather than the ND.
i.e a case where PD is 7/98 and ND 07/00 gets processed before another where PD is 8/99 and ND 01/00.
Anyone agreeing?

That is right..Once you are done with FP, it makes sense to queue the applications based on PD...FIFO principle..

So a 99 PD can get lucky when the queue infront of him gets reduced...

If that is the case,

My case EB2 RIR
PD 10/01, Last week I got I140 Cleared and ready to apply I485
My wife EB3 RIR
PD 04/99, I140 Cleared last year. Her date will become current by next month (July 1st). Now for EB3, it is 01/99.

So, which one do you think will come fast?

We had FP theory earlier. Now comes the PD theory. My theory is INS and Stock Market follow same set of rules. Past performance is no guarantee for future. Never listen to what expert says. Prepare for long term. Bulls make money, Bears make money but Pigs loose money!

I agree with im4gc. If PD is what is driving, people with PD in 98 are still waiting, while a case with PD in 99 has been approved. Check out latest approvals in immitracker.com. There is no such strategy. We both may be with same PD, ND etc, but may not get approved about the same time.
