Priority Date?????? Please help.

Last week my I-140 was approved. I am not sure this is a correct forum or not but I believe the people in this forum has well experience to answer my question.

My question is, what is mean by priority date? It is a date of Labor applied or it is a date of Labor approved. Please clarify.

Should not matter now as all categories are current

Thanks super1966. I just want to know that my company is not cheating us ...

I just want to know that my company is not cheating us like taking applications from us and keeping it with them for some month before they actually apply to INS, which they could do. Others please confirm.

That may be for only one reason. I guess company will send a bunch of applications to attorney for filing(most of the times) instead of one today and another tomorrow .
