my attorney started my eb2 labor certification today..
she is concerned about i-140 being denied due to ability to pay..
i am not yet working with my employer..

i understand priority date is for adjustment of status or visa change, right?
meaning i will know whether my i-140 was approved or denied a lot earlier, right?

if your LC is approved, your filing date for the LC will be your priority date. ability to pay will have no effect on the LC. LC process just looks over US worker recruitment efforts your employer must take before petitioning for a foreign worker (that would be you). you will have to deal with ability to pay when you get to I-140
