Hi there,

After long wait, my PD finally becomes current in September (details in signature). I had my interview in local office in July. The interviewer said that my PD isn't current and that my name check is pending. My question is, at this point, can I do anything to make sure the approval goes through in September, before any further retrogression happens?

Thanks.

Hi,
My PD finally becomes current in September, too. I had my interview in Detroit local office, in September 2005.
I am planning on caling the local offce on Monday, and try to find out when they will start sending the letters. I am not expecting to much from that call, but after so long wait, can't hold off :)

Mine just became current for the month of September. Anybody knows how long it will take to be approved. I

If you read other name-check related threads, you'd know the bottle neck is the name check.

I think gc_nov_2003 has a good chance to get the approval in September since your NC s clear. For the others I cannot say the same thing.

I 485 Approved !

Hi,

We just received Welcome letter from the local USCIS office. Our priority date become current in September (EB3, world). On Sep. 1 somebody call us up from the USCIS office and ask if our address didn't change (at 11.30am), my husband said no; the officer said "We are sending your documents by mail". My husband was so surprised, that he didn't ask any questions and the officer hang up.
Today in the mail we got the approval letter (one for both of us), and it stands that Permanent Resident Card will be mail soon.
We talked to our attorney, and she said that it should arrive in one - two weeks.
Good luck to all of you.

I just scheduled an Infopass appointment for 9/25. I'll keep everyone posted on the info I get. On another front, my lawyer sent another inquiry to the officer that interviewed me. We'll see what comes out of that...

gc_nov_2003,

I think your case will be adjudicated soon. Please keep us updated once your case is approved.
By the way, could you share your experience of how to make your Name Check cleared?

Thanks.

Thanks for your good wish. I will surely keep it posted when I get the approval.

I did something trying to clear the security review, but nothing really worked. It's just after long time, it got cleared. My case should have been adjudicated 2 years ago if not stuck in security review.

I had a colleague whose wife was stuck in security review for over 2 years when she applied for citizen and then she sued the USCIS and FBI. Within one month, she got approved.

I didn't want to sue cause it's PR. I don't want to risk anything.
