This is a sad story with an uncertain future.
A friend of mine was killed in an accident after he, his wife and son received their EAD and AP. The finger-printing was not done. 2 months back, the INS issued a memo to his wife stating their intention to deny the case due to death of the primary beneficiary. The lawyer has send a response asking the INS to reconsider based on humanitarian basis. No news from the INS yet. Now, the EAD has expired and cannot (?) be renewed.
Has anyone heard of such similar cases? If so, what was the outcome? Had INS shown compassion in such cases?
