Primary 485 Approved, dependent in India on H4

Hello gurus,

my colleague's I-485 is approved but his wife and daughter are in india. Their 485's are pending. they both are on valid H4 visa. they dont have AP.

Will there be any issue while coming back to usa at port of entry? as h4's become invalid when the primary's 485 is approved.

Can you/anyone give some additional information on what the options are?
what happens if they try to enter using their H4 visas.

file I824 with USCIS...they should schedule an appointment with consulate abroate....check with attorney and start i-824

It depends. They could be admitted as H-4, denied entry and sent back, or paroled. The POE can parole them in even without AP, so that might be an idea.
