previously files i-140

I have cleared I140 from my previous company but they are refusing to share it with me . I want this to capture my previous priority date . Is there anything I can do ?

You can get all the information that was filed with the INS by filing a petition. I am not sure what the name of the petition is, however, it comes under the "freedom of information" act. Basically, the INS will give you a copy of all the documents that were filed for you. Talk to an attorney regarding this, I am sure it is a common thing. Good luck.
