Hello Alren / CP Gurus :-

One of the company that I worked prior to joining the US employer is no longer operational. Do they check the references in the first place? Will this create a problem if the Consulate in India tries to cross check the references and the company does not exist?

First of all let me tell you, I really like your handle. It reflect your positive attitude, as opposed to some people's handle around here.

I can't comment on the references first hand because I was not in a similar situation. But my judgment is that they will not, unless things are really shady looking.
