ill make this as simple as posible, i dont understand anything about visas. is there anything stopping me from travelling from Australia to the US on my passport, saying im on vacation, and then get married when im there? does that then allow me to stay in the US with my wife?i hear alot of conflicting points from ppl and cant get a straight answer, please help, ive never travelled overseas b4 or met my wife except through phone, emial and videos, so that counts out the K visa, please help me!!

Fraud

If you lie to the INS upon inspection, that\'s a fraudulent entry. When you apply for a Green Card, they\'ll dig into your relationship and will discover this. For fraud, I\'m not sure if there is a waiver for the lifetime re-entry ban if you marry a US citizen.

yep

yeah i understand if it was all fake that its fraud, but its not with me. ive met a woman online and known her now for over a year. we do want to get married when i go over there. what im worried about is that it will seem like a sham marriage when it isnt. I havent travelled overseas b4 so i dont know anything about visas, im trying to learn as much as i can so we dont have any problems. i was told i can apply for a b-2 visa and just travel as a visitor to the country for 6 months, and if i get married in that time then i am giving a probationary green card?...basically i just want to be with my girlfriend and we get different answers from everyone as to how to do this, what visas give you how long in the country etc. i just want to do it right and not have problems with the US government, and ive been told the only way for us to be togetehr permanently in the US is through marriage

well theres a problem

i looked into fiancee visas and we cant do it
1- it takes too long
2 - i hear its expensive
3 - i would have to of visited her or she me previously, which we havent done.

Basically we just wanna be together and i have no ties here so i want to move with her. But i want to know if i just travel as a tourist and say im staying for a month or 3 months or whatever a tourist visa allows, and then get married to her in that time. Is that legal, i dont want immigration thinking its a sham marriage or anything because its not, we do want to get married.
Im just trying to find the easiest possible way 8(
