What if consulate ask for latest pay checks, presently I am unpaid leave from oct-2001 and company promised to issue employment letter?
 
If you are from mumbai then no problem

But if you are from Chennai..then sometimes they ask for paystubs.

Try and ask ur company to run the payroll before cp to be just on the safer side.

The few documents that Chennai usually scrutinizes based on previous CPers experience postings :

Employment Letter
Pay stubs
Birth Certificate/Affidavits
Marriage Certificate/Affidavits

Every consulate has different req. regarding documents. Mine did not care for paystubs.
If you have good reason for that leave (e.g. ailment of loved one) and that was requesed for by you and approved by your sponsor, show documents to that effect if requested.

If they would start to worry if you are really working for your sponsor, you may be in deep s***.
