presence in US while on conditional GC to renew

I have a marriage based GC for the spouse. She is currently on provisional GC and next year it will be time to renew and get a non-conditional GC. Are there any requirements/rules of thumb on how long she needs to be in US to successfully renew her GC? How long can she be away at a time? She has some family obligations and we are trying to balance her presence in the US. Thanks!

USCIS has information on maintaining status and implication of traveling outside the country as a green card holder:

https://www.uscis.gov/green-card/after-we-grant-your-green-card/maintaining-permanent-residence (In particular see section on abandoning status)

https://www.uscis.gov/green-card/af.../international-travel-as-a-permanent-resident (In particular see the section “Does travel outside the United States affect my permanent resident status?”)

A good general rule of thumb is that you should spend longer in the US than you spend out of it.
