USCIC just announced starting Sept 25, 2006 they are expanding PREMIUM PROCESSING for 2 other categories, including EB1 and EB2, no NIW. Is this good news or:)?

ONLY EB1OR (not EB1A) and EB-2. not good for me :)

Expecting more retrogression..... . that is what USCIS wants.

It is a bad news for EB2-NIW and EB1-EA. Because EB2-labor based (having earlier PDs) and EB1-OR by getting approved in 15 days will start grabbing visa numbers of EB1-EA and EB2-NIW in the respective EB1 and Eb2 category. Because although there is distinction at I-140 level within category , no such distinction appears at I-485 level.

Therefore people applying in EB1-Ea and EB2-NIW will need to wait much longer for I 485 approval than projected.

It is my opinion guys.

Does attoreny needs to be paid for Filing for Premium processing?

Hi

My attorney is asking extra 500 $ for attorney fee to file for premium processing of I-140 (EB-2). I had filed that I-140 through the same attorney.

Can you tell me that is normal? he/she should charge me or file for free as I filed I-140 through the same attorney?

thanks for your input

Attorneys do charge fees for everything they do. I have no idea if 500 is too much or too little, you can shop around. But just to let you know, in order to upgrade to premium processing, all the attorney needs to do is fill in one page form mostly contact information, and prepare the check. That's it! If that costs 500, I don't know:)

My attorney just upgraded my I-140 to premium processing without charging me a thing. It's a 5 minute process when you e-file it. try to negotiate the price with him. moreover if you do it you should see a change in your case status in 2-3 hours. (that way you know for sure that he really did it.
