Hi,

Has anyone applied for a premium processing for a new H1B on or after Oct 1st 2003 ?

If yes, what kind of reply do you get from BCIS ? Do they still issue a receipt number (like WAC....) and in how many days do they issue such number ?

Any reply would be really appreciated.

Thanks in advance

I applied for the H1B Transfer

Hi,

I have applied for the H1B transfer on premium processing on Oct 2. I got the WAC number from my lawyer with in 2 days.

Please check with your lawyer. He must have the receipt of notice with the WAC number.

Thanks
Raj

Thanks Raj

Hi Raj,

Thanks for replying to my post. I checked with my lawyer and he said he has received the WAC number today.

So I guess I was worried a little too soon.

Thanks again for your reply.

Still Waiting

Hi Raj,

My application was received by BCIS on Oct 6th. So I guess yours should be approved before me.

Still no news from BCIS.

Keep me posted and I will do the same.

Thanks

Change to Premium Processing

Hi folks,
I applied for an H1-B extension on OCT 15th 03.
Is it possible to upgrade to premium processing now, as I have to travel to India.

Also, if I do get an extension can I get a new visa stamp in india even though my current visa has not expired (expires on Mar31st)? so that the visa validity would be till what ever date in on the I-129.

Thanks

Premium Processing

Hi navdod,

YES, you can upgrade to Premium Processing. Infact one can upgrade to Premium Proceesing anytime during the process of H1B approval.

I guess you can get the new visa stamp in India with the new approval. But if I were you I would come back to US with the current visa and then apply for revalidation here in US.

But then if you have all the necessary documentation and were never out of status (overstay or difference in LCA and W2 salary) then I dont see any problem getting stamped in India.

Good Luck.

Time frame

Thanks for the info Koshish,
Would you happen to know how long Premium processing is taking these days in Cal Serv Cent?

I am working in Oregon, is there a seperate queue for Seattle DOL, I am probably ill informed ;-)
Thanks

Premium Processing Time Lines

Hi Navdod,

It is taking 10 to 12 Calendar (not working) days for the Premium processing in Cal Srv Center. Few of my friends have got their approval in these time lines.

Oregon comes under Nebraska Service Center so you would have to file in Nebraska Service Center.

I didnt understand the question of "Separate queue for Seattle DOL".

Regards
Koshish
