Hi everyone, i hope you could help me in our situation. My wife is going outside of US (Philippines) to give birth to our child. I am on H1B, my wife is on H4. We have pending adjustment of status. How easy will it be to bring our child here in the US?

Provided you maintain H1 status, relatively simple. You'll just need a visa once the child is born. Why don't you have the child here? Much simpler.

no disrespect, But that's stupid have you child here you want your child to go through problems like you did. Think it through

Issues

Sally, I have a friend who had to send his wife back to his country because of pregnancy complications and the need to have someone beside her all the time. Most of us are here as husband and wife and depending on where we live in US we may or may not have friends or neighbours who can afford to look after the pregnant wife all day until we get back from work. Another angle to this problem is that some people have very basic insurance coverage from their employers which makes its extremely costly to pay for the all the tests and other treatments required for complicated pregnancies. So people who are in this situation take the easy way out and send their wives back to home town where cost of healthcare is more affordable and there is a family back there to take care of daily needs. So maybe the poster is in a similar situation.
