Pregnancy in India

Hi

I am on a H1-B visa and am about to apply for I-485. My wife is pregnant and we want to have the delivery in India. What should we do to bring the baby back to the US? Our H visas are valid until end of 2003. Can we get a dependent visa for the baby? If not, how can we include the baby on to our application?

Options based on delivery time..

Obviously you will apply for the indian passport, birth certificate for the baby on the day of birth.
1. If the baby is 3 months old and your 485 approval is not yet approved, you can still get a dependent visa and bring the baby to US. Apply for 485 and AP.

2. If you have already got your approval, the only way the baby can come in is using family based new petition. 2-3 years!! If your spouse\'s application was bunched along with yours, she can come and get the green card but the baby cannot.

3. If the baby is less than 3 months (or not fit to travel age) and your 485 approval came, you can apply CP for the baby separately.

if you are in CSC you have to start worrying now. If you are in VSC or NSC and you have completed your FP then also it is nail biting time. If you are in TSC- don\'t worry.
One last suggestion: If it is still time (

If you are going to file 485, your intent is to stay in US, so why go to India for delivery to make

Why does everyone in India have baby ?

I am looking for an answer to the question as to why all the indians always want to have baby ?? Everyone has to get married @ 23-29, then a year after all of them should have baby, then two years letter one more..... then one more after that. What\'s going on guys ?? You go to any Indian party even in USA and you see lots of people everywhere. when are we going to break this cycle ???
