If someone gets pregnant during OPT and cannot work because of it, can they still stay int he US for the duration of OPT(1 year) or does not working during OPT violate the F1 status?
A typical maternity leave is 6 weeks. You should be available to work when your child is 6 weeks old. Using your child as an excuse to live in the US under OPT is inappropriate, and you should not not be authorized leave.
