What does it mean to the people who are waiting for approval for the past several years? I am talking about people who have completed their FP; priority date is current and no other issues. So, I would like to hear from people who know how this change in the preference numbers affects us.

I also heard the same news from recent bulletin from Sheela Murthy.

Regards,

Well, for people who have been waiting for years, if PDs become current, then there could potentially be lot more people who may get processed before your case such as people with ND earlier than yours but their PD becoming current recently. All in all, it ain\'t that rosy for you and ME. My PD is Jan 97 and filed 485 in Feb 2000.

Hi Bhanu,

how can an applicant\'s ND be earlier than mine if his/her PD became current after mine ? (Assuming that I submit my 485 application as soon as it becomes current and so does the other person)

Are we talking PD regress here or is it something else ?

Thanks in advance.

I think because in Aug. 1999 became current once, many people with later PD also filed I-485 during that time, or some people who have later PD been approved their I-140 earlier than the people who have earlier PD. Like me my PD is Nov. 1997 but my ND is Dec. 2000. when I filed my I-485, many people have earlier ND and later ID than me. So, the people who like me really should not be happy with " become current"! This my thought.
