Hi
Here is the situation,Due to error on I-94 card,(actual axpiry date is march23rd2004 ,but on i-94 card date it is april 1st 2004)applied lately for 7th year extension(march31st2004) without realising the error. So now the problem,i am at the end of 180 day count. changing into premium processing for 7th year extension as the 180 day count will be over by oct1st2004.
What were the chances of getting my 7th year extension?

And to be on safe side ,wants to apply for preapproved labor,is that that ok to apply if the above mentioned case rejects.
Please any one help me .
Thanks
Sri

If you apply for the premium processing AsAP you should be ok...You have not mentioned the grounds to apply the 7th year extn so it will be hard to tell the chance of approval...you can stay until I think 240 days I gues when pending....

That is a good idea but as long as Preapproved is filed more than year and if you apply before 240 days count

Please any one help me .

Hi
Thanks,Premium is going to be filed today.
My lawyer told that the duration is 180 days, anything i have to do should be done in 180 days.
Are u sure about the 240 days duration?.Please confirm it so that i can ask my lawyer again.
Thanks
Sri

I guess, in your case, 180 days are important, because, you have not filed for extension on time. Filing extension BEFORE expiration of original status gives you legal status upto 240 days (if the application is pending). However, in your case, if the extension is rejected, your status would be illegal right from April 1. So if you dont leave the country by Oct 1 (180 days), you are barred from entering the country for 3 years. However, if the extension is approved, you dont have an issue.

Hi
